League Info & Rules

  • Two-player teams are scored based on the position at the end of each round, but points are awarded to each player individually. Therefore, players can choose a different teammate each week if they wish, and players without a teammate will be paired with someone on arrival.

  • • 2-Player Teams

    • One Closest-To-Pin Hole Each Week

    • Last Week in Season is Worth DOUBLE Points

    • Individual With Most Points After Last Week is League Winner

  • League players will play once a week on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 6-8pm. Players designate their playing day and time at the beginning of the season, but they can change this preference by contacting Eight Under at any point.

  • Handicaps are determined using official TrackMan handicaps or the 18Birdies Handicap Calculator. The handicap for any player can be changed by Eight Under staff if deemed necessary.

  • A single Closest-to-Pin hole is chosen by Eight Under before each week’s round. The closest shot to the pin each week (individual) is awarded the CTP prize.

  • Players must be 16 or older. Teams can be co-ed. Spectators are welcome!

  • • Using a tee is only permitted on the first shot of every hole.

    • All tee boxes are one in front of the back tees. Women’s tees are the forward tees.

    • Putting: Aimed w/ 12ft Gimme Distance

    • Wind: Calm | Pins: Easy | Fairways: Hard | Greens: Medium

  • • Mulligans must be set to ‘on’ in case of malfunction or TrackMan misread

    • Mulligans must be approved by Eight Under staff

    • Mulligans can be purchased for $5 each

    • Use of unapproved mulligans results in a 2-stroke penalty per mulligan

  • • Official scores will be logged from physical scorecards that must coincide with the electronic TrackMan scorecard at the end of the round.

    • Exiting from the electronic scorecard at end of the round before verification by Eight Under staff will result in a DNF for both teams playing.

  • • Weekly winners will be decided by a scorecard playoff in the event of 1st place ties, starting at the final hole and working backward.

    • In case of a tie at end of the season, a sudden death hole-by-hole playoff will take place.

 League FAQs

  • Yes (or share with your friend). Eight Under does not currently have rental clubs available, but they are coming soon. Also, remember to clean your clubs before arriving to avoid a $10 cleaning fee!

  • Yes. Players/teams must complete their round before the next week’s event to make up a missed round. However, players must reserve their own simulators for this time. No makeup rounds are allowed for those who miss the last week of the season.

  • Yes! If you don’t have a teammate, we will pair you with someone.

  • Substitutes are welcome for those who cannot play. However, all substitute players must provide handicap information to Eight Under staff before playing.

  • All rounds must be started within 10 minutes of the start of the scheduled playing window. If a player/team is not ready by their starting time, the round will begin without them, and each missed hole results in an automatic double-bogey.

    No additional time will be given to complete a round. Players/teams must finish during their allotted time slot. Unfinished holes will result in automatic double-bogeys.
